Tamarrah Jacobs
Registered Physiotherapist

My name is Tamarrah and I am glad to be part of the M.A.P. Physiotherapy team. I love being a part of someone’s rehabilitation journey and seeing their progress. I have a passion for sports and I particularly enjoy working with athletes. However, I believe that physiotherapists have the potential to help everyone with pain or mobility issues provided the big picture is addressed. Having experience predominantly in orthopaedics, I am glad to be able to further that experience while learning more about neurological conditions and treatment.
In 2013 I completed my Bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology with a minor in Biology and worked as a Kinesiologist before beginning my Master’s in Physiotherapy in 2014, which I completed in 2016. Throughout my education I have had the opportunity to work with, and learn from many individuals in the following disciplines of physiotherapy: orthopaedics, neurology, amputees, geriatrics and acute care post-op. Since completing my Master’s degree, I have taken courses in Adaptive Bodywork, compression stocking fitting, acupuncture, dry needling, and shockwave treatments. I believe the more tools I have in my toolbox the more effectively I can help people.
I am fluently bilingual and am able to offer services in either official language. I also believe in a hands-on one-on-one approach that is client centred and individualized, as is the M.A.P. approach.
I have participated at a competitive level in several different sports in the past. I now pursue fitness through working out and weight training at the gym. When I have free time I am typically enjoying time with my young family, enjoying the outdoors, or at the gym.
