My name is Veronica and I am passionate and intrigued by the complexities of the human body. I was first exposed to physiotherapy as an eleven-year-old high level soccer player. I then spent the next ten years in and out of different physiotherapy clinics. This made me feel like I was always broken, and by the age of 20 my recurring injuries forced me to retire from high level soccer. Since graduating and learning more about the human body, I have come to realize that my early retirement could have been entirely preventable. Now my mission is to ensure that we swap this “broken” feeling for empowerment and confidence in the body.
Everything in the human body is connected, so don’t be surprised if I start looking away from the site of pain and/or injury. I view physiotherapy as solving a puzzle or a mystery. Our mission: finding the root cause of the pain.
I graduated from the University of Waterloo in 2014 with a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology and from McMaster University in 2016 with a Master’s of Science in Physiotherapy. I spent the first 6 years of my career working in the Greater Toronto Area. I am NeuroKinetic Therapy Level 3 Certified. I can also provide services in Brazilian Portuguese and Spanish.
“If we always choose comfort we never learn the deepest capabilities of our mind or body.”
– Wim Hof
Outside of work you can find me playing recreational soccer, volleyball, running, hiking, or biking.
Something you would like people to know:
No pain, no gain is not the goal for physiotherapy. I want our work to be uncomfortable, but it must be tolerable. Why uncomfortable? Because outside of our comfort zone is where we grow physically, mentally and spiritually.
Fun fact about me
I love soccer so much that I went to the 2014 Men’s World Cup and 2015 Women’s World Cup. Next up on the list: the 2026 Men’s World Cup!
